Shelley Brown is the President of Bromelin, a consulting firm that helps organizations with their human resource needs. Her team assists with the management of the small things - like payroll, benefits, and compensation - to the big ones such as talent management, performance management, and succession planning. Shelley’s philosophy to show care, not only to the clients but also to her own employees, contributes much to her company’s success.
Shelley joins me today to share how she transitioned from being the Vice President of the Human Resources Department of a multinational pharmaceutical company for the Canadian division to being her own boss of an HR consulting firm. She explains how she reconciled careful planning and taking a leap of faith as she built her company and her team. She also shares some of the programs their company has created that have benefited multiple organizations and have helped other people from the other side of the world.
